Machine eligiblity rules
- All machines shall be of British manufacture (except class E). Main frames shall be constructed from materials and using techniques freely available to the general public prior to 31/12/64, retaining two rear shock absorbers (except rigids) and of a period appearance similar to a standard frame. Engines, gearboxes, yokes & front forks shall externally appear to be of British manufacture before 31st Dec 1964, except 2 strokes in classes A, & C which may have forks & yokes up to 31st Dec 1969.
- Machines shall be classified as follows: -
- A (springer over 250cc)Springers shall be 2 or 4-stroke with cylinder capacity over 250cc and equipped with rear suspension.
- B (rigid over250cc)Rigid shall have a frame manufactured without rear suspension with an engine and gearbox of the type originally fitted in a rigid frame.2 or 4stroke and a cylinder capacity over 250cc.
- C (springer under 250cc)2 or 4 stroke with cylinder capacity under 250cc with rear suspension and includes 2 stroke machines of British Manufacture with British engines up to 31/12/1969.
- D (rigid under 250cc)Rigid shall have a frame manufactured without rear suspension with an engine and gearbox of the type originally fitted in a rigid frame.2 or 4stroke and a cylinder capacity under 250cc.
- E (Specials and twinshocks) shall be machines mainly of British manufacture that don't conform to Rule 1, or more recent machines with twin rear shock absorbers.
- For each Championship Trial, Points will be awarded to qualifying riders in each class as - 10 points for the class winner, 9 for second, diminishing to 1 for tenth and any other finishers.
- Should there be a tie for a place, it shall be decided in favour of the rider with most cleans, then furthest clean, then oldest rider.
- To qualify for an award in the Championship a rider must enter 8 or more Championship trials in a year. Their best 8 scores of points will then be counted and the rider with the highest total winning. Should there be a tie, it will be decided in favour of the rider with most 1st places, then 2nd places etc, then oldest rider.
- A member that chooses to ride the rigid route non competitively on a springer, eight or more times in a year, shall be entitled to a trophy.
- If a rider observes at a championship trial, on one occasion per year they will be awarded 5 points as though they had ridden.
- They must ride the rigid route
- They must at all times be supervised by a responsible adult
- They must be a member of the Club.

Constitution
- The aims of the Club are to promote & encourage the use of motorcycles manufactured in Britain before 1970, with special interest in Observation Trials for machines built by 1965.
- The officers of the Club shall comprise of a) a Chairman, b) a Secretary, c) a Treasurer, d) any others appointed at the AGM. The members present at the AGM shall democratically elect these posts each year. As cheques need two signatures, three members (incl. The Treasurer) shall be authorised, to cover holidays etc.
- The AGM shall be held once a year on a date to be decided by the committee. The Club rules and trials regulations shall only be changed at the AGM. Proposals are to be submitted in writing one month before and will be circulated to the members at least one week before the AGM.
- Each month a meeting will be held where the members present shall constitute the Committee. Any motion shall need a proposer and a seconder. Only paid up members shall have the right to vote.
- An Emergency General Meeting shall be convened with the status of an AGM should a written motion signed by 4 members or 5% of the Membership (which ever is the greater) be received by the Officers. One month's notice will be given to all members of the meeting and the motion.
- Membership is open to anyone who pays the subscription, from the time of payment to the end of that calendar year. Membership can only be refused or terminated by a motion at a Committee meeting for bringing the Club into ill repute, and the person in question will be invited to attend and state their case.
- Those who observer at 4 or more trials in a year, and others approved by the Committee shall receive 1 free tickets to the annual social evening/awards presentation, observe 8 trials.2 free tickets.
- The Club Person of the Year shall be democratically voted for at the AGM, written nominations to be submitted to the Chairman before hand.
- Should the number of 'twinshock' machines entering club trials exceed a third of the entry for 3 consecutive trials, then measures will automatically be taken to limit their numbers to no more than a third of the entry.
- The following scale of expenses shall be paid:-
- £12 each to the two official Clerks of the Course for trials (except Waterside Trial).
- £6 to the Results Secretary per trial.
- £10 to each Observer that signs on before a trial.
- £50 each per year to the Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer,Trials Secretary and Website Manager. £25 each to Membership Secretary and News Letter Editor.
- In the event of the Club closing, any funds and assets held shall be given to charity determined by ballot of the membership at the time.
